Leading golf shoe manufacturer FootJoy has renewed its support sponsorship of the Powerade PGA Assistants' Championship for another three years.
As part of the extension the footwear giant will continue to supply shoes and gloves to all 120 finalists at The London Club.
As an added boost this year will also see the presence of a Titleist fitting truck for use by assistants during the tournament's practice days.
The Assistants' Championship is the PGA's longest running national tournament, dating back to 1930 four years before the famous US Masters was established.
The championship boasts a rich pedigree with previous winners including Dai Rees (1935 and '36), Peter Alliss (1952), David Thomas (1955), Neil Coles (1956), Tony Jacklin (1965) and Barry Lane (1983).
PGA chief executive Sandy Jones said: "FootJoy are terrific supporters of the PGA and in particular its assistants making their way in the game and we are delighted at their continued support of the Assistants' Championship.
"In addition to the generous supply of shoes and gloves, the presence of a Titleist fitting truck at August's final will add an extra dimension to proceedings and help make it a memorable occasion for the players."
FootJoy marketing manager Richard Fryer said the sponsorship extension helped strengthen their ties with some of the UK's leading young players.
"We are extremely happy to be supporting the PGA once again and we see this deal as part of our strategy to underline our association with the top players from the UK and Ireland," he said
"We were more than happy to extend our sponsorship and look forward to the next three years.
"We also believe by giving the players access to the fitting truck it will really add to the occasion of the event."
The prize fund is £32,500 with the winner pocketing a cheque for £5,000.
