Collingtree Park Return

Published in:

An enticing Europro schedule goes from strength to strength with the news Collingtree Park is to host the Tour in May.

The Northampton course has hosted the Tour for the last three years, with Guy Woodman coming out on top of a three-way play-off at last year's event.

Some of Europe's best young talent will fight it out over three rounds at Collingtree from May 14-16 with a pro-am on May 13.

Danny Nickless, operations manager for the Tour admitted he was delighted with the arrangement.

"It is a first class golf course and I know one of the players' favourite venues on the schedule," he said.

"I would also like to thank Richard O'Driscoll for his efforts in bringing the PGA EuroPro Tour to Collingtree again.

"The course is always immaculate and the Pro-Am that precedes this event is always a great day out.

"This signing confirms what is by far the strongest schedule we have ever had and with extra bonuses on offer such as Party Poker Birdie and Eagle Challenge and Peak Performance Player of the year it really is set to be a great year to play on the Tour.

"We are just awaiting a few more contracts from venues and we will have a very exciting full schedule."

The Qualifying School for the PGA EuroPro Tour begins on April 9-10 at Stoke-by-Nayland, Bedford Golf Club, The Players Club and Forest Pines, with the final stage taking place at Frilford Heath, Oxford on April 16-18, and the closing date for entries is today (March 26).
