Jason McCreadie and Chris Kelly share the lead after the opening round of the Scottish Wateraid 36-holer at Barassie, the third Order of Merit event on the 2008 Tartan Tour.
McCreadie, the former Northern Open champion, posted a four-under 68 and was joined on that mark by the 2003 Scottish PGA champion Kelly, who birdied three of his closing four holes.
The leading duo finished the first day a stroke ahead of Euan Little, David Orr, Jim McKinnon, Mark King and former Tartan Tour No.1, Chris Doak.
Greig Hutcheon, last year's Order of Merit winner, opened with a one-over 73 while former Walker Cup player Lindsay Mann holed his six-iron tee-shot at the short sixth on his way to a one-over score.
In the team contest, Ladybank pro Alan Lockhart led the Laggan Construction amateur trio of Gerry Donnelly, Jim Galloway and Lee Thomson to victory with a 57.
