It promises to be a hectic but enthralling final day's play at Moortown today with a number of players still in the hunt for the coveted Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship.
The third round, abandoned yesterday due to torrential rain and flooding, resumed at 9.10am this morning amid blue skies but still sodden fairways after further overnight thunderstorms.
Only eight out of 28 pairs managed to complete their third rounds yesterday before the players were called off at 12.51pm.
Leader Andrew Barnett (North Wales Golf Club) resumed on the second hole at five under par having eagled the first while playing partner Graeme Bell (Eaglescliffe) is at four under courtesy of a birdie on the par 5 first.
Tournament director Simon Higginbottom had scheduled an 8am start this morning but a fierce thunderstorm at 4am prompted a further delay.
The field will complete their third rounds before a draw for the final round which will be played from a two tee start at the first and ninth at approximately 1pm.
