Pitreavie's Paul Brookes is hoping to continue his fine form when he and partner Jamie Stevenson compete for a place in the SkyCaddie PGA Fourball Championship, supported by Sunderland.
The duo head into the Scottish regional qualifier at Musselburgh on August 13 on the back of Brookes' victory in last week's qualifier for the Gulf Air International Pro-Captain Challenge, supported by BMW.
Brookes is delighted with the way he is playing and is confident his experienced partnership with Braehead's Stevenson will ensure qualification.
"I'm looking forward to the qualifier," he said. "My partner and I play well together usually. He's a very steady player and very reliable.
"We've played together for quite a while now. Jamie worked as my assistant for four years and we played in all the doubles competitions and our record is quite good.
"We are quietly confident and really looking forward to it."
Uphall's Gordon Law is determined to go one better than last year and clinch qualification for the October final at Fulford Golf Club.
"My partner and I should definitely qualify but we said that last year and we didn't so you never know," he said.
"It would be nice to make it this time.
"We're playing well at the moment though and both did well at the Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship last week. I came 24th and my partner, Craig, came seventh. So we are feeling pretty confident.
"It's a fun tournament at Fulford and it would be good to play there but if we don't qualify it's not the end of the world. It's not like we've got a score to settle or anything."
Law added: "I played with Craig last year so this is the second time we've played together. So it's still quite an inexperienced partnership but we'll hopefully put in a good account of ourselves."
The final of this year's SkyCaddie PGA Fourball Championship supported by Sunderland will be held at Fulford Golf Club in York from October 1-3.
