Devon's Laura Eastwood finished the WPGA One-Day Series season as she had started it - with a victory - but it was Wales' Jo Pritchard who was celebrating with the Order of Merit title.
Eastwood, from Tavistock, carded a seven-under-par 67 to win by three strokes at Little Aston near Sutton Coldfield.
Five birdies on her front nine took her out in 31 and although she dropped a shot at the 160-yard 13th she picked up a further three shots coming home.
Rachel Bailey was second after a bogey-free round of 70 while Katie Tebbet, from Rothley Park in Leicestershire, was third on level par with Pritchard another shot back in fourth.
"I played well today. I've been out in Sweden on the Masters Tour and I only got back at midnight on Saturday," said Eastwood, who won the opening event at Stoke-by-Nayland in May.
"I was not sure whether I should come up, with the three-hour drive, but I like the course and it was worth it in the end."
Eastwood was disappointed to relinquish her Order of Merit title but admitted she could not compete.
"I knew Jo had already won the Order of Merit but I knew if I beat Tracey Loveys I could get second and that was my target," she added.
"Jo has played so well this year and I don't think I've played too badly."
Pritchard, based at Pontypool Golf Club, has had an impressive season in the WPGA One-Day Series on the way to claiming her maiden Order of Merit title.
She played in all seven events, won one outright, shared two victories, had one runner-up spot and three fourth-place finishes.
"It was nice going into the last event knowing I couldn't be caught. I knew I could just go and play some golf in my last tournament of the season," said the 26-year-old, who now turns her attention to qualifying school for the Ladies European Tour in January.
"My goals at the start of the season were to win the Order of Merit and have a more consistent year and I've never been outside the four, so that's pretty good.
"I'm hoping to get my full tour card next season but I played in every event this season and I'd like to do it again."
