The fog finally lifted at Slaley Hall this afternoon enabling the third round of the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship to begin.
Play resumed at 1.50pm with a two tee start after more than five hours of inactivity bar an impromptu putting competition involving several leading stars and women spectators.
The leader Angel Franco, one of those helping entertain the crowd on the putting green, goes out last at 3.10pm alongside former Ryder Cup player Gordon Brand Junior and Christopher Williams. Franco enjoys a one shot lead over the pair at three under for the tournament after rounds of 69 and 72.
Scotland's Ross Drummond made an early move up the leaderboard with birdies on his first three holes.
PGA Cup player George Ryall will perform in front of some of the biggest galleries of the day when he tees up alongside former Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam. The pair are seven strokes off the lead at four over par.
It's set to be another late finish with yesterday's play also disrupted by fog with a two-and-a-half-hour delay in the afternoon which resulted in the last group not finishing until 9.30pm.
