Iain Fulton, the De Vere Belton Woods pro, won the Walmley Pro-Am when he fired a seven-under-par 65 to beat Daniel Greenwood, of Forest Pines, into second place.
Fulton, playing in his first Midlands Region tournament of the season, pocketed the top prize finished a stroke ahead of Greenwood and two strokes clear of Stourbridge's Mathew Morris.
Craig Shave (Whetstone) and Cameron Clark (Moor Hall), who are respectively second and sixth in the 2009 Order of Merit race, finished tied fourth with four-under-par 68s.
Kedleston Park pro Paul Wesselingh, another front runner for the Midland title, trailed home a shot further back alongside Mark Butler (Sandwell Pines) and Jeremy Robinson (Twyford Golf).
Darren Prosser, was the only other player to break par, finishing on his own in ninth place on 71.
