Kemp and Diaz share Corning Classic lead

Sarah Kemp and Laura Diaz are tied for the lead after the second round of the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic on Friday.

Australian Kemp carded an impressive eight-under-par 63, while Diaz shot a four-under 67 to take a one-shot lead over Morgan Pressel (68) at Highland Meadows Golf Club.

South Koreans Lee Seon-Hwa and Shin Jiyai and American Natalie Gulbis are tied for fourth at nine under, two shots off the lead, while Michelle Wie is alongside five others a further shot behind after carding a two-under 69 on Friday.

Starting on the back nine, Kemp made a steady start to reach the turn at two under.

However, the 23-year-old was in scintillating form coming home as she shot six birdies, including four in a row from the fifth, to climb to the top of the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, Diaz ensured she secured a share of the lead when the American sank a 12-foot birdie putt on her final hole.
