One of the United States' most renowned courses - Whistling Straits - has joined the existing high-class venues lined up for the 2009/10 Pro-Am Tour season.

The Wisconsin venue, which will host the USPGA Championship in 2010 and 2015 and the Ryder Cup in 2020, joins the likes of Sawgrass, Pebble Beach and Harbour Town Golf Links in a stellar field.

The Pro-Am Tour at Whistling Straits is scheduled for 20-25th May next year and will feature five star accommodation at The American Club and tournament golf on some of Pete Dye's finest designs, Blackwolf Run, and the Straits and Irish Courses at Whistling Straits.

American Golf Holiday's managing director John Hooper said: "This new event will continue The Pro-Am Tour's policy of staging Pro-Ams on world class golf courses either just before or immediately following Major Championships or PGA Tour events."

The Whistling Straits Pro-Am is one of eight tours, which begin in November and go right through until May.
