The 16th season of American Golf Holiday's Pro-Am Tour tees off this month in the desert playgrounds of Arizona and California.

The Arizona Classic Pro-Am, which runs from November 21-28, will feature some of the PGA's top professionals battling it our over some of the best courses the city of Scottsdale has to offer before the action moves to Palm Springs the following week.

Among the players taking teams out the United States are Andy Raitt, the winner of the South Region Order of merit, and Craig Cowper and Richard Wallis who finished third and fourth respectively.

The Midland Region is also strongly represented with Pro-Am Tour regulars Simon Lilly, who has just won the PGA Europro Tour Tour Championship and Darren Prosser once again in the line up.

The 72-hole pro-am will see action over Grayhawk Raptor Course, We-Ko-Pa, TPC Scottsdale and Desert Highlands, with a warm-up over the Grayhawk Talon Course.

Defending Arizona and California champion Lilly is looking forward to this year's events and acknowledges that the competition looks very strong this year.

"There are certainly some great players in the field, so I am hoping my experience of desert golf will stand me in good stead," he said.

"Scottsdale and Palm Springs are two of my favourite golfing destinations and The Pro-Am Tour allows us to play on some of the best and most exclusive courses in the area, including the private Desert Highlands Country Club."

Prosser agreed: "Simon and I have been very lucky to play in these events on a regular basis and the venues are simply stunning. Most important of all our amateur team members really enjoy a golf experience of the highest quality which makes them keen to return every year."

PGA Professionals are welcome to enter a team and qualify for a free Pro-Am land package and guaranteed prize money. Special early booking airfares are available for PGA Professionals.
