Simon Lilly's love affair with American Golf Holiday's Pro-Am Tour continued with victory in the opening event of 2009/10 schedule.
The Kettering golf ace and former Midland PGA No 1 took his tally of wins to 16 after a comprehensive 13-shot success in the Arizona Classic.
He opened his account with a round of 69 at Desert Highlands Golf Club, to share the honours on day one with Craig Cowper (World of Golf).
Lilly made the most of day two over the Cholla Course at We-Ko-Pa with a best-of-the-day 70 to open up a five shot lead over Richard Wallis (Walmer & Kingsdown).
Grayhawk's Raptor Course failed to hold back the march as Lilly's 67 was the only round under-par leaving him in control ahead of the final day.
Lilly fired another 67 over the TPC Scottsdale Stadium course for a 14-under-par total but Cowper fired a best-of-the-week 65 to claim second place at one-under-par for the week with Wallis third on level par.
The team pro-am was won by Rob McGuirk (Princes) at 34-under-par with Lilly's team second at 28-under and Ben Johnson (Stoneham) third at 19-under.
The second event of the series, the California Classic, teed off yesterday.
