The Virgin Atlantic PGA National Pro-Am is ready for take off with last year's runners-up Ashbourne teeing off the tournament tomorrow.
The Irish side, comprising 2007 Glenmuir PGA champion John Dwyer and his partner Fran Meehan, were first out of the hat and will play with Royal Mid Surrey's Matthew Paget and amateur Michael Cardinal in the 8am tee off.
Greenburn and Carlyon Bay, who also played in last year's grand final, are off at 8.40am and 8.50am respectively.
Two-time finalist Graham Farr (Worcester G&CC) and his partner Don Hooper, the lowest handicapper in the field off four, are out in the second group.
This year's event, which will be played over the PGA Sultan course for the third successive year, is also being televised for the first time in Turkey and will be shown on Sky Sports at a future date.
The presence of the cameras are bound to increase the tension among the amateurs, with Dunstable Down's professional Darren Charlton admitting keeping the nerves in check will be a major part of producing a winning formula.
"The pros will be nervous because they're representing their clubs and it's important to us but I think it will be a new experience for the amateurs and something they'll have to handle. I think once they've had their name announced and got off the first tee they're be alright," said Charlton
He added: "I think the only thing to do, which worked for us in the qualifier, is for the amateur to tee off and providing he's in play it gives an option to the pro's to maybe take a few extra risks.
"It's testing off the tee and a bit wet so will play a bit longer than it would normally do. You need to get the right side of the pin and it will be a good test."
The tournament, which carries a £30,000 prize fund, has endured unprecedented rainfall in the days prior to the event with in excess of 150mm deluging the course on Saturday - more than 10 per cent of the annual average.
Greenkeeping staff have ensured the course is championship condition, given two other courses in the area are still shut as a result of last week's downpours.
Hindhead professional Ian Benson, who has brought a club member to the course in previous years, praised the condition of the PGA Sultan.
"It's in great condition, especially the grass around the greens," said Benson, who is last off at 9.10 with partner Simon Marvell.
"Playing in the UK, you're getting grubby lies and patches of mud so to get perfect turf around the greens and know you can play what shot you want to play rather than the lie telling you what to play is the best thing.
"The greens are also running well - It's in good nick."
