PGA Europro player Jack Clarke, a former Chelmsford and Essex county amateur, cleaned up in the latest Essex PGA event at Braintree.
Clarke carded a three-under-par 67 on a bitterly cold day to hold off the challenge of Clacton-on-Sea's Jason Levermore, who was a shot further back.
Third place on level par was shared by Johnnie Fryatt (Thorpe Hall), Mark Baker (Colchester) and Luke Eggleston (Orsett).
Brett Taylor and his amateurs from Chelmsford, David Nairn, Alan Connell and Paddy Parker won the team event with 10 under par 130.
Runners-up were Clarke, Dom Adams, Greg Vassalo and Darryl Aziz one shot behind. A Braintree team of Warren Sargent, John Bone, Ray Davies and Roger Thake were third on count back at eight-under-par.
