Davies loses ground

Laura Davies slipped off the pace in her defence of the Handa Women's Australian Open title on Friday.

After opening with a leaderboard-topping five-under-par 68, the four-time major winner could only manage a second-round 76.

It means the 46-year-old Briton is five shots behind leader Giulia Sergas, who moved to seven under at the Commonwealth Golf Club with a round of 69.

Italy's Sergas is three shots clear of Korean duo He-Yong Choi and Soo-Jin Yang.

Rebecca Flood, Stefanie Michi and Karrie Webb were all a shot further back on three under.
