Barham joins The Robert Rock Academy

Past PGA South Order of Merit champion and multiple winner Benn Barham is joining his former Tour mate at The Robert Rock Academy at Silvermere.

Windsor-based Barham is delighted with his new role. He said: "I loved the time I spent with Pentland Golf and it convinced me that much as I love playing, I love coaching even more. Allied to one’s own ability as a coach, technology now enables us to do amazing things with people’s swings and improve their game generally.”

Barham added: “While Windsor to Silvermere’s an easier commute, it’s something Robert and I talked about doing when we were on the Tour. We always said that one day we do something like this. Well, now that time’s arrived.”

Rock is even more enthusiastic about Barham’s move, adding: “Having known Benn for over 12 years, I am delighted he’s now our Head Coach for The Robert Rock Academy at Silvermere.

“We often played and travelled together on Tour. Benn’s ability to communicate his knowledge will in turn improve anyone who wants to be a better golfer, whatever their level. I encourage keen golfers to get into one of Benn’s development programmes, if you are serious about wanting to play better golf.”
