Bramshaw duo target Lombard Trophy success

Bramshaw Golf Club duo Claire Duffy and Alex Sizer have a chance of winning Europe’s biggest pro-am when they compete in the grand final of the Lombard Trophy in sunny Portugal next week.

Head PGA Professional Duffy and amateur Sizer will go head-to-head with six other clubs in the 36-hole showdown in the Algarve.

More than 700 clubs entered the popular PGA National Pro-Am Championship which reaches its climax at Pestana’s stunning Vila Sol Golf & Resort Hotel on the Algarve from September 21-22.

Duffy and Sizer clinched their spot in Portugal after winning their regional qualifier at Camberley Heath Golf Club with a score of eight-under par 64.

The Bramshaw duo Three Rivers duo will fly out to Portugal next week where they will come up against teams from Ormskirk, Thorpe Wood, Kibworth, Dinsdale and Three Rivers in a bid to be crowned winners of the 2017 Women’s Lombard Trophy.
