Dixon And Langdon Share At Minchinhampton

Enmore Park’s David Dixon and Brickhampton Court’s Ross Langdon shared top spot in the inaugural Minchinhampton Ladies Pro Am with rounds of eight-under-par 65.

The ladies par of 73 was used for scoring purposes over the Avening course and the winners were three clear of George Ryall (Worlebury) and Cirencester’s Ed Goodwin who posted rounds of 68 on a chilly but dry day in the Gloucestershire countryside.

Bristol-based Martin Dewhurst, back from his job in Austria, continued his recent good form to share fifth with home player Nick Haile on 69.

Goodwin won the team prize with 93 partnered by Jess Brown, Deb Organ and Sam Michell,

Ryall with Jennie Dwight, Lynda New and Maxine Allen were second on on 90 beating Dixon’s trio of Kaye Rosser, Jen Patch and Caroline Banks on countback.

Organiser Tom Sheffield was thrilled by the response and plans are in hand to make it a regular event on the Gloucester and Somerset PGA calendar.
