Two Time European Tour Winner Alastair Forsyth

Neil Fenwick has hit a purple patch on the Tartan Tour, winning one pro-am and finishing third in another on the PGA in Scotland circuit.

Fenwick, who is attached to Dunbar, landed his victory in the Drumpellier Pro-Am, claiming a top prize worth £1,235 with a five-under-par 66.

The former Dunfermline Athletic player made seven birdies, including two to finish, as he won by two shots from no less than seven players.

That group included two former European Tour winners, Alastair Forsyth and Andrew Oldcorn, as well as Sam Binning, James McGhee, Graham Fox, Stephen Gray and Gareth Wright

Binning signed off with five birdies to be home in 30; McGhee matched Fenwick's birdie-birdie finish while Gray closed eagle-birdie.

Clydeway Golf's Ross McLeod joined forces with Brian Kane Construction trio Kyle Murdoch, Craig Gourlay and Fraser King to pick up the Marshall Craig Rosebowl as leading team.

Forsyth and Fenwick were also to the fore in the Parkdean Resorts Pro-Am at Ayr Belleisle.

Thanks to a four-under-par 67, Forsyth secured the £1,191 top prize on offer there by a shot from Ross Leeds (Archerfield Links) with Fenwick third on 69.

Forsyth, who is attached to Mearns Castle Golf Academy, made his score with three birdies in first four holes before picking up two more shots either side of his only bogey of the day at the ninth

Leeds bagged six birdies as he went out in 31 before dropping shots at the 12th and 13th while Fenwick's card contained five birdies.

The team spoils in the Ayrshire event went to Lowmac Recyling trio John Trainor (14), Stuart Gwynne (12) and Andrew Smith (10) with Binning as their pro.

It was a four-way tie for top spot, meanwhile, in the Bathgate Pro-Am as 67 proved a popular score at the West Lothian venue.

Binning, another player who is attached to Mearns Castle Golf Academy, was one of those to card four-under, as did Chris Currie (Erskine), Paul O'Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure Ltd), Sam Binning (Mearns Castle Golf Academy) and Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills Golf Centre) as they each picked up £920.

Binning came home in 31 while Currie, a member of last year's PGA Cup-winning side at Foxhills in Surrey, dropped a shot early on before bagging seven birdies only to then finish bogey-bogey.

O'Hara, last year's Tartan Tour No 1, picked up three shots in the final four holes while McKechnie, a winner on the PGA EuroPro Tour, made his score with four birdies in six holes around the turn.

O'Hara led Farid Hillend Engineering, represented by Joe Riley (11), Charlie Shepherd (16) and Ewan Dunbar (7), to victory in the team event.
