Honours shared in West Dunbartonshire Council pro-am

Four players - Louis Gaughan (Bathgate), Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs), Chris Currie (Caldwell) and Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Inchmarlo - shared the honours at today's £7,900 West Dunbartonshire Council pro-am over the Dalmuir municipal course.

Each shot four-under 64 to earn £1,039 apiece.

Gaughan set the clubhouse target despite bogeying the last two holes after being six under par with two to play.

Arnott ran up a double bogey 5 at the short 11th while Currie bogeyed the last.

Hutcheon, one of the last players to finish, was five under par  until he bogeyed the 14th.

The quartet finished a shot ahead of Ross Cameron (Saltire Energy) and Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) who earned £481 each for their 65s.

David Stein, Ranfurly Castle pro, led the "Weapons of Grass Destruction" amateurs, Kris Stewart (handicap 16), Fraser Miller (18) and Kenny Stewart (14), to victory in the pro-am team event with a 17-under-par net total of 51.
