Richard Hughes will spread a wealth of knowledge and experience in coaching with technology at the second PGA Members’ International Conference in Thailand.

PGA Fellow Professional Hughes has been confirmed as the second speaker for the 2018 conference, which will once again be staged at the world-renowned Laguna Phuket resort from November 11-14.

The 35-year-old is the head professional and owner of the Golf Centre, Leicestershire, a premier 20-bay driving range and dedicated coaching centre.

Over a 15-year career dedicated to teaching, Hughes has coached golfers of all abilities from raw novices to elite amateurs and professionals.

He specialises in teaching with cutting edge technology including high speed video, launch monitors, pressure matts and multiple 3D systems. Hughes integrates this technology seamlessly into the everyday coaching environment.

As a recognised speaker, Hughes has previously delivered his seminar ‘Teaching with Technology’ to fellow PGA Professionals. He has also presented online webinars and the UK’s first Myswing 3D educational seminar called ‘The practical application of teaching with 3D’.

Hughes’ interactive seminar at the conference will provide delegates with an opportunity to understand the advantages and disadvantages of different types of technology, including launch monitors, pressure and 3D motion capture.

It will include live lessons demonstrating the practical application of these technologies and provide feedback on how to optimise them in a coaching business.

Hughes said: “The aim is to help delegates understand what technology may fit well into their business to enable them to make the right purchasing decisions in the future and also the practical application of this equipment.

“Equipment can be expensive and therefore it is so important to ensure you have all the right information to make sure it will provide an appropriate return on your investment.

“The session in Thailand will be suitable for both coaches that currently do not use any technology but are interested in its benefit for both coach and player, and for coaches that are currently using technology within their coaching. I can’t wait to share my high tech experiences.”
