Greig Hutcheon recorded his fourth Tartan Tour win of the season while Christopher Currie tasted his third as the both tied for victory in Friday's Elgin Golf Club pro-am.

Hutcheon and Currie, both members of the 2017 Great Britain & Ireland PGA Cup team, won £787 by contrasting routes.

Paul Lawrie Golf Centre pro Hutcheon made six birdies but four bogeys were the low spots on a sparkling card which read two under par 67.

Currie, of Caldwell Golf Club, had three birdies and one bogey to his name to finish on the same score.

They finished a shot ahead of the in-form Gavin Hay (Grantown on Spey) and James McGhee (Swanston New) who shared third place on 68 and earned £459 each.

Hutcheon also piloted the No. 2 team of Arthur McKerron and Sons to victory with a better ball score of 12 under par 57. The team members were Kevin McGrath (9), David Rumbles (10) and Mikey Patterson (5).

Paul O'Hara (Speyside Scaffolding 2) and David Thomson (Carnegie Club) also led their teams to net 57s but they lost out on the countback which went down to the very last hole before Hutcheon's team were declared the winners.
