Rice shares win at Rosslare

Tim Rice (Limerick GC), Damian Mooney (Damian Mooney Golf) and Tara Delaney (The Eddie Doyle Golf Academy) shared first prize at The Kelly's Resort Rosslare Pro-Am.

The leading trio finished the tournament on three-under par, a shot clear of Richard Kilpatrick (Banbridge GC) and Michael McGeady.

Irish PGA Champion Rice posted four birdies and a single bogey in his round at the event which supported Wexford Hospice Homecare and St Patrick's Special School.

Delaney carded five birdies and two bogeys while Mooney dropped a shot at his opening hole but responded with four birdies of his own.

Denis O'Sullivan (La Playa GC) and amateur partners Patrick Barrett, Stephen Lucas and Clement Hehir topped the team standings with 92 points.

Maeve O'Reilly bagged the longest drive prize for the ladies with Kieran Reilly collecting the men's longest drive award.
