The PGA is hosting a brand-new PGA Members’ European Coaching Workshop this autumn in The Netherlands which will provide PGA Members across Europe with a chance to connect, network and learn from their peers.
Open to all PGA Members, the one-day event will take place at The Dutch Golf Club, a Colin Montgomerie-designed inland golf course based in the Gelderland province of Netherlands, on 16th October, 2023.
DP World Tour and Asian Tour short game specialist coach, Matthew Tipper, will headline the event, alongside fellow Tour coach Phil Allen.
Tipper is as an expert in golf instruction and player development. Originally from Porthcawl, South Wales, Tipper has travelled the world extensively, having coached in Malaysia, Dubai, Poland, Portugal and China.
He has worked and collaborated with the likes of PGA Master Professional David Leadbetter and leading short game expert James Sieckmann. His most prominent student is three-time DP World Tour winner Adrian Meronk, whom he has coached for more than 12 years.
Allen is another hugely experienced instructor who has coached several DP World Tour players and winners, most notably Joost Luiten, a six-time DP World Tour winner, along with many Dutch developing future golf talents.
With experience on the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, the Challenge Tour, the Olympics and several Majors, it’s no wonder Allen was named in Golf Digest’s list of top 75 ‘International Teachers’, making him the only coach in The Netherlands to achieve this accolade.
Allen’s impact and achievements in the golf industry led to him attaining the status of PGA Advanced Fellow Professional by the Association.
PGA Partner Foresight Sports will also be in attendance at the PGA Members’ Coaching European Workshop to discuss launch monitor technology and present to attendees about their PEAK Certified Professional training programme.
