Level pegging at Stinchcombe Hill

25/10/2019

David Dixon claimed his first Total Triumph Order of Merit success of the season at Stinchcombe Hill but had to share the winner’s enclosure with defending champion Ed Goodwin.

Enmore Park’s Dixon was playing in only his second event of the season while the win was the second of the campaign for Cirencester’s Goodwin.

Both posted bogey-free six-under-par totals of 62 to become the fourth pair in successive weeks to finish level at the top of the leaderboard.

All of which resulted in the Order of Merit leader Lee Corfield having to settle for third place after setting the pace with a five-under-par round of 63 to finish three shots clear of Gloucester Golf Centre’s Jamie Dick

Nevertheless, third place was sufficient for the Burnham & Berrow assistant to extend his lead.
