Marvellous McGrane marches on

Damien McGrane continued his march towards the 2017 Order of Merit title with victory at the Beaverstown Pro-Am. The Kells man currently has a massive 6000 point lead over nearest rival, David Higgins (Waterville Links) in the standings.

McGrane fired a five under par 67 at the Co. Dublin club to win by two shots.

Irish PGA Champion, Tim Rice (Limerick GC), Damien Mooney (Damien Mooney Golf), Richard Kilpatrick (Banbridge GC) and Colm Moriarty (Drive Golf Performance) finished tied for second on three under par.

Mark Murphy (McGuirks Golf) and amateur partners Joe Farrelly, Liam O'Brien and Des Hickey won the team event with 89 points.
