Molloy and Jenkinson share top spot at Bunclody Pro-Am

Shane Jenkinson (St Margaret's Golf & CC) and Ciaran Molloy (Ardee GC) topped the leaderboard at the Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club Pro-Am.
The pair carded rounds of three under par 69 to finish one shot ahead of Jimmy Bolger (Kilkenny GC) and Simon Thornton (Simon Thornton Golf) at the County Wexford venue.
Shane showed signs of finding form at the recent Irish PGA Championship -finishing 10th – and he grabbed seven birdies in total at Bunclody but also added in five bogeys.
Starting at the first, he went to the turn in three under 34, with only two pars on his card. He steadied things somewhat on the back nine, coming home in level par 35, recording two birdies and two bogeys in the process.
Ciaran was mistake free on his front nine, going to the turn in three under 34 courtesy of birdies at the third, fourth and sixth. He matched Shane on the back nine, coming home in level par 35 with two birdies and two bogeys on his card.
Kevin McGrath (KM Golf Academy) and his amateur partners Pat Doyle, Martin Cashin and Tony McCormack won the team event with 92 pts.
