The HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour will pay a £59,000 bonus to the first player who cards a 59 round at the 2017 Tour Championship or any of the 2018 EuroPro Tour events.

The lucrative bonus has been made possible by the PGA EuroPro Tour, along with Matchroom Sport and excludes any Pro-Am or Q School events.

The announcement follows the additional quarter of a million pounds (£250,000) bonus to any player who wins four events in the 2017 season – with just one golfer, Chris Lloyd, in contention if he wins at the Tour Championship.

Chief Executive of the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour, Dan Godding, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer this bonus. A 59 is sacred in the world of professional golf and very few have ever achieved such greatness under tournament conditions.

“I believe those who play on the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour are among the very best young talents in the world today. If any one of our members scores a perfect 59 on the tour, which is always set up to challenge their skills, they will quite simply have £59,000 deposited into their bank account.”

The season concludes with the Tour’s top 60 players contesting the Tour Championship at Amendoeira Golf Resort, where the top five players in the Race To Amendoeira will earn a Challenge Tour card for the 2018 season.
