ONE WEEK TO GO - CPD deadline reminder!

24/10/2022

The deadline for all PGA Members to complete and submit their 2021/22 CPD journals via PGA Learn is fast approaching.

PGA Learn enables you to capture and store all the CPD you do and print it off in a professional, PGA branded document.

Completing and submitting your journal for the last CPD year will ensure your records are complete, up-to-date, and reflect the personal development you have done over the last year.

Why do you need to submit your CPD?

  • Keep your CPD records up-to-date, all in one place in electronic form.
  • 2021-22 Journals will lock after 31st October 22 and no further edits can be made.
  • Gain Accredited status and demonstrate to your customers and employers or deployers that you are engaging in CPD.
  • Receive a digital CPD Accredited certificate for meeting the PGA CPD Standards.
  • Build evidence of your professional development to support your PGA APAL/Excel application.
  • It’s easy to do via the PGA Learn portal or PGA Learn app. There are over 900 learning items to choose from in a variety of topics.

Have you already completed your 15 hours of learning but not recorded it yet?

Some PGA Members may have already far exceeded the minimum number of required learning hours, all they need to do now is record it.

Here are a selection of examples that count as CPD:

  • Attended a Conference (example - TGI have a big annual conference).
  • Supported a PGA Trainee with their training.
  • Shadowed a colleague, fellow PGA Member, or expert.
  • Undertaken a new project at work.
  • Engaged in product training (Acushnet and Taylormade do lots of product training).
  • Completed a compliance course at work (First Aid, GDPR etc).
  • Trained a member of staff.

Once the 31st October, 2022 deadline has passed, all journals will automatically lock for this period and further edits or entries will not be possible.

If you meet or exceed the minimum learning hours for this period (currently 15 hours), you will maintain or gain CPD Accredited status for the 2022/23 CPD year if you are eligible.

If you currently hold Accredited Status but do not submit a 2021/22 journal by the deadline, you will lose it on 1st November, 2022. However, you will be able to regain your status immediately by meeting the minimum learning hours for the year and submitting your CPD journal.
