Paul O'Hara chalked up his second win of the season on the Tartan Tour after Ross Cameron had produced an eye-catching effort to also taste success on the PGA in Scotland circuit.

O'Hara, who'd got his 2018 campaign off to a winning start in the Ayrshire Hospice Pro-Am at Trump Turnberry, was only able to tee up in the Bishopbriggs Pro-Am after missing the cut in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

But he shrugged off that mild disappointment to card a four-under-par 67 to claim a first prize worth £1445 by two shots from Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills Golf Centre) and Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre).

O'Hara, last year's Tartan Tour No 1 and winner of the Motocaddy Masters on the PGA EuroPro Tour at Frilford Heath in his Wentworth warm up, birdied the fourth and eighth going out before picking up two more shots at the 15th and 18th.

McKechnie signed for two birdies - both 2s - while Hutcheon recovered from a bogey start by making birdies at the third, fourth and sixth as they shared second spot.

Cameron's success came in the West Dunbartonshire Council Pro-Am at Dalmuir Municipal Golf Club, where the Ellon man carded a six-under-par 62.

That earned him a two-shot success over West Linton's Gareth Wright, with three players - Cameron Farrell (Cardross), Alastair Forsyth (Mearns Castle) and Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) - sharing third on 67.

Cameron, who is playing mainly on the Pro Golf Tour this season, birdied the third and sixth to be out in 34 before following further gains at the 10th and 13th with an eagle-2 at the 16th.

The splendid effort earned him a first prize worth £1458 as he finished ahead of Wright, who turned in 30, six-under, before dropping shots at the 13th and 18th.

"Another brilliant day at the Dalmuir Pro Am and many thanks to West Dunbartonshire Council for the continued support of the event," said Cameron.

In the team event, Erskine's Chris Currie led an Alger Electrics team of Michael Devoy, Brian O’Neil and Gordon Lynn to victory on 17-under-par.

Elsewhere, Craig Imlah (Craigielaw) and Steven Dunsmore (Falkirk Tryst) joined forces to claim victory in the Seniors Spring Fourball at Buchanan Castle.

The duo posted a 65 to win by a shot from two pairings - Fraser Mann and Ken Campbell and Stewart Savage and Craig Everett.
