Rooke and Houghton in seventh heaven

Lee Rooke, who is attached to Royal St David's, and James Houghton, representing American Golf, shared the honours at seven-under-par.

Rooke picked up four birdies on his outward half added three more on the way home as he handed a flawless 63.

But Houghton looked on course to win the day until dropping his only shot at the 17th.
Lymm's Graham Cox bogeyed the 12th for a 64 to finish third on his own in an event that attracted 50 professionals.
