Ruebotham victorious

James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City) powered to victory with a dominant display in the Muswell Hill Pro-Am.

Ruebotham shot five-under-par to win by four shots from a cluster of five players.

He made a really positive start, with back-to-back birdies at the opening two holes – both par-4s – and never looked back.

Indeed he effectively sealed the tournament around the turn with a series of four straight birdies from the ninth.

Ruebotham’s only dropped shot came at the penultimate hole but the outcome was never in doubt.

Oliver Fullerton (Girton), Rob Coles (Maylands G & CC), Jason Levermore (Little Channels Golf Centre), Gary Evans (Mill Ride) and David Salisbury (Three Rivers G & CC) were all tied for second place.
