Total Triumph ride to the rescue by lifting lockdown gloom

Total Triumph, the long-standing sponsor of the Gloucester and Somerset PGA’s Winter Series, has lifted the gloom caused by the latest lockdown by already pledging its support for the 2021/22 campaign.

The decision means the Triumph motorcycle dealership based near Taunton, Somerset, will have sponsored the popular series for a tenth successive year.

Commenting on Total Triumph’s continuing support for the competition, the company’s owner Neil Mossman said: “I am long standing supporter of the PGA and believe we need each other to help build business and keep promoting each other, especially in troubled times.

“Our relationship has grown over the years and by supporting their Winter Series it sees the name of Total Triumph getting noticed across the two counties.”

“On a personal level, I have had some great times with the game I love and the friendships i have made along the way and hope this continues.

“Moreover, to watch a young player go from amateur to PGA pro and further gives me great pleasure.”

Gloucester and Somerset PGA chairman Andrew March (pictured above right with Neil Mossman) added: “We are extremely grateful to have Total Triumph on board again and my sincere thanks go to Neil for his ongoing support of our Association.

“I know I speak for the rest of the PGA Professionals who compete in these events when I say that.”

Meanwhile, lockdowns two and three have resulted in the completion of just four events of the 2020/21 series and should the campaign not restart the points earned to date will be carried forward to 2021/22.

As things stand, the defending champion, Cirencester’s Ed Goodwin is 23 points clear of Woodspring’s Kevin Pitts and March, who is attached to Brean Golf Club, lies third two points behind.
