Wales set for circuit-breaker lockdown

19/10/2020

Earlier today the First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford, announced the country will enter a circuit-breaker lockdown from Friday October 23rd at 6pm through to Monday November 9th.

This means everyone in Wales will be asked to work from home during this period of time, except for critical workers, and it will supersede all local restrictions currently in place.

Golf clubs and golf facilities will be required to close during this full lockdown and golf coaching is not permitted. We are working with Wales Golf to clarify whether essential course maintenance will be allowed under the new rules.

The Welsh Government's stay-at-home message means that all non-essential retail and leisure businesses are to close during this lockdown period. During the lockdown, your exercise should start and finish from your own home and you should exercise alone or with a member of your household.
