Glen Portelli (Old Fold Manor) fired a four-under-par 65 to land a two-shot victory in the Grims Dyke Pro-Am.
Having teed off under a shotgun start at the fourth, Portelli made four birdies on the trot from the seventh hole and then made an eagle two at the short par-4 13th.
He wasn’t able to maintain that blistering form through his closing stretch but his early hot streak proved sufficient to get the job done.
Luke Goddard (Hendon) was runner-up after a 67, while Paul Fiddes (Harstbourne) was a further stroke back.
The pro-am was won by the quartet headed by James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City), who triumphed on countback from Goddard’s team after both finished on a total of 123.
