A holiday on the paradise island of Mauritius or vibrant Portuguese capital Lisbon are the prizes for a hole-in-one during the first of the five-event Brabazon Series at The Belfry.
The competition for the holidays will be staged on two different par-three holes on the four-time Ryder Cup course at the resort.
In addition, the event on Tuesday November 21 will feature a ‘Beat the Lady Pro’ on another of the par-threes plus a lucky draw and hole prizes kindly supplied by Druh Belts & Buckles and Sibling Gin Distillery.
The Brabazon Series will be contested between November and March 2018 and offers pros and amateurs the chance to tread in the footsteps of Ryder Cup legends such as Seve Ballesteros and Nick Faldo as well as compete for prize money and individual laurels.
Each of the five tournaments comprising the series will be staged on the Brabazon course and there are still some places available for the first on November 21.
The series is supported by The PGA in England (Midlands) and each tournament is open to pairs made up of two professionals, one professional and an amateur or two amateurs.
The tournament format will be BetterBall Stableford with both men and women amateurs given a 90 per cent handicap allowance. Men will play from the yellow tees, ladies from the reds and maximum handicaps will be 24 and 30 respectively.
Entry for each tournament costs £100 per pair and includes:
Tea or coffee with bacon rolls on arrival
18 holes on the famous Ryder Cup course
Holes prizes and a lucky draw sponsored by Sibling Gin
A £2,000 prize fund for each tournament (based on 55 pairs playing) In addition, a night’s accommodation at The Belfry followed by breakfast and a fourball on The Brabazon will be awarded to the pair that accumulates the most series points over the five events.
