Back for its third event on Tuesday 5 February 2019, the Topgolf PGA Pairs Pro-Am will once again showcase its unique format at Topgolf’s Surrey venue, proving that golf can be everyone’s game.
2018 winner Michael Cooke commented: “There’s a fantastic buzz about the whole evening, playing in front of your group, having drinks and food served you by your bay host, music playing. It’s golf, but completely different to the traditional format. It’s exactly what the game needs to open it up to a much wider family audience.”
Topgolf’s PGA Head Professional Jamie Savory is delighted with the event’s ever increasing success, saying: “The Topgolf Pro-Am gets better every year. Golf is widely perceived as expensive, time consuming and not family oriented. Topgolf explodes all that, and is turning golf into genuine 21st century form of leisure and entertainment in a condensed and accessible 90 minute format.”
He adds: “Because our format bridges the gap between casual and serious golfers, our Pairs Pro-Am will continue to be a fantastic success, especially with lots of children and families involved.”
The Topgolf Pairs Pro-Am format of TopPressure, TopBreak and TopGolf is the same one customers play every day, with bay hosts keeping everyone’s refreshment levels topped up. Savory said: “Besides being streamed, the 2018 event lit up social media like Twitter and Instagram, and everyone was enjoying the music being played alongside the golf. Topgolf proves golf can be adapted to modern expectations for a great family day or night out.”
Entries are open to pairs of one PGA Professional and amateur partner, with an entry fee of £80 per pair to include some post-golf food and prizes. For more details click on the link above or contact Jamie Savory at Topgolf Addlestone on 07840 881 995 or Jamie.Savory@topgolf.com.
