Welshman Oliver Farr won the PGA in England and Wales (North) GW Insurance Overseas Pro-Am in Portugal after a closing 75 in testing conditions to finish on eight-under-par over four rounds.

The 27-year-old Hereford-based player, who gained his Challenge Tour card thanks to topping the 2013 PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit then then went on to claim the Turkish Airlines Challenge in May 2014, was a shot ahead Gary Wolstenholme.

The Carus Green attached professional signed off with a 72 to deny former Ryder Cup man Phillip Price by two.
