Tommy Fleetwood took a short detour on his way home from playing in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland to fulfil a promise to pop into Knutsford Golf Club to say hello to the boys and girls at their junior presentation night, writes David Birtill.
Club professional Tim Maxwell, pictured helping Fleetwood handing out the prizes, said: “He was only too pleased to see everyone and stayed for an hour or so chatting to the youngsters and gave them all golf balls.
“It’s no wonder he’s so popular. He’s not changed despite his tremendous success.”
