Gloucester and Somerset PGA’s forthcoming winter programme has been boosted by Total Triumph Motorcycles of Taunton agreeing to sponsor it for the eighth successive season.
The series of weekly events, which starts at Brean Golf Club in the third week of September and continues until next spring, sees a slight revision to the rules.
It will now include a greatly enhanced bonus pool for the season-long Total Triumph Order of Merit. However, it will still conclude with the Total Triumph Strokeplay 36-hole Championship, an event that is likely to have a major bearing on the Order of Merit's final positions.
Commenting on the renewed sponsorship, Gloucester and Somerset PGA chairman Andrew March said: “It’s great to have Total Triumph back on board.
“We are looking forward to working with its managing director, Neil Mossman, to provide another competitive winter season.
“We are also looking to increase the number of players in the events as a result of the changes we have made and are excited by the possibility to try a few new things to strengthen our partnership with Total Triumph.”
Neil Mossman added: “We are very pleased and proud to support the Gloucester and Somerset PGA for an eighth year.
“We hope we provide more playing opportunities for the PGA pros in the two counties and possibly even enhance it with a brand new event in the spring of 2020.”
