Dan Carter completed a rewarding 24 hours with a two-shot victory in the Salisbury & South Wilts Golf Club Pro-Am to claim the £1,000 winner’s cheque.
Carter, who is attached to Upavon Golf Club, went into the event having finished tied-third in the Tiverton Golf Club Pro-Am.
His two-under-par round there left him six shots adrift of the winner, John Bickerton, but it was more than sufficient on the following day to leave the 44-strong field in his wake.
Featuring three birdies and one dropped shot, on the par-three sixth hole, Carter signed for a two-under-par round of 69.
In doing so, he was the only player to break par in an event that saw a quartet comprising Greg Davies of South Cerney Golf Centre, the Wiltshire Golf Club’s Daniel Scourfield, Alistair Tressider of Sherborne Golf Club and Parkstone Golf Club’s Martyn Thompson finish tied-second on level par.
The team event, meanwhile, was won by Ivybridge Golf Club’s recently crowned English PGA Champion Paul Hendriksen and his trio of amateurs - Justin Safe, Neil Inder and Tom Stagg – with a two-ball better-ball score of 13-under.
