Paul Jones and David Dixon occupied the top two positions in the second pro-am running but this time at Remedy Oak the placings were reversed.
Having finished runner up behind Dixon in the Sherborne Golf Club Pro-Am, Jones replaced him at the top of the leaderboard thanks to a four-under-par round of 68.
The Ashley Wood Golf Club pro’s round, which included a bogey at the par-three fourth hole on the Dorset course, featured five birdies.
He posted three on the bounce immediately after the turn but was indebted to a rare lapse from Dixon for his outright victory.
Dixon, who is attached to Enmore Park Golf Club, was four-under-par and bogey-free after the 17th but a dropped shot on the last proved costly.
As a result he finished on three-under, two shots clear of the only others to break par: Dudsbury Golf Club’s Lee Thompson and Michael Watson of the Wessex Golf Centre.
The team competition, meanwhile, was won by Hayling Golf Club pro Mark Treleaven and his three amateur partners – Andy Flint, Paul Lucas and Simon Vine – with a score of 90 Stableford points.
