Training Applicant/PGA Trainee/PGA Assistant

Ilkley Golf Club is a prestigious establishment renowned for its picturesque golf course. As part of our commitment to providing unparalleled service to our members and guests, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant PGA Professional to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Competition Organisation: Coordinate and oversee golf competitions, ensuring smooth and efficient execution from registration to prize distribution
• Green fee Administration : Manage green fee bookings, tee time allocations and payments
• Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors with sales support and general enquiries ensuring memorable experiences for all
• Deliver high quality golf instruction to individuals and groups of varying skills
• Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming pro shop environment
• Assist with club repairs and retail sales
• Participate in the daily operations of the golf club facility including opening and closing procedures

Preferred but not Essential

• Knowledge of golf genius, brs golf, custom fitting, retail and coaching
• PGA level 1 / 2 coaching qualification
• Strong knowledge of golf rules, etiquette and tournament operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Experience with golf shop merchandising and inventory management.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Passion for the game of golf and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
