Position Overview:

The Deputy Head PGA Professional will play a pivotal role in enhancing the level of service offered at Sudbury Golf Club. This multifaceted position will involve overseeing various aspects of golf operations, including competition management, retail management, golf operations, custom fitting, coaching, and fostering member engagement through playing golf with members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate golf competitions and events, ensuring smooth operation and exceptional participant experience.
  • Oversee retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Assist with day-to-day golf operations, such as tee time bookings, member inquiries, and course marshalling.
  • Conduct custom fitting sessions to provide personalized equipment solutions for members and guests, utilising the latest technologies within Flightscope and Quintic.
  • Deliver high-quality golf coaching sessions to players of all levels, with a focus on improving performance and enjoyment.
  • Engage with members through on-course play, providing guidance, camaraderie, and fostering a sense of community.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • PGA qualification is essential.
  • Previous experience in golf operations, coaching, and retail management is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Passion for golf and a genuine desire to enhance the overall golfing experience for members and guests.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
