The Role:
This is a key senior role coordinating commercial, student recruitment sales and branded property activities to ensure Company objectives and strategy are met including:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the commercial brand engagement strategy ensuring the delivery of rights and benefits of all commercial partner agreements.
  • Working closely with the wider admissions function of the Training Academy, managing the Training Academy student recruitment sales function by developing and implementing the student recruitment sales strategy. Identifying, implementing and maximising commercial and student recruitment sales processes.
  • Identifying new business opportunities for PGA branded properties, producing proposals for new business including cost and revenue projections; negotiating terms with licensees and ensuring ‘sign off’ prior to legal execution. Ensuring delivery of PGA obligations to all Licensees.
  • Creating, building and sustaining effective working relationships and networks with key stakeholders and building strong, durable relationships with providers, clients and prospective clients.
  • Collaborative Working and People Management to support the alignment of The PGA branded properties, Student recruitment sales and commercial strategies with the Media and Communications department and all other internal departments to ensure consistent and effective planning and delivery and collaborative working across the organisation.
  • Coaching and developing team members to ensure skills and knowledge are relevant and up to date and output is aligned with company values, policy and processes.
  • Preparing commercial forecasts and budget plans ensuring all spend in all areas is aligned with budgets and company policy.

Whilst this is a permanent, full time role (35 hours/week) with the core hours of the business being 9 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday, some evening, weekend and/or occasional bank holiday working is essential to fulfil this role. This role is also eligible for hybrid working from day one of employment, offering more flexibility in working hours and depending on work commitments, the opportunity to spend up to 60% of the week working remotely.

Role Requirements: Education/Qualifications/Key Competences/Personal Profile Includes:

  • Substantial relevant management level experience in a similar role selling commercial rights to brands and sponsors
  • Extensive experience in gaining opportunities in complex environments with an established portfolio of strong relationships built from experience working within the golf industry
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying potential opportunities and delivering these as part of the Student recruitment sales, branded property and commercial strategy
  • Commercially and financially astute with a proven track record of successfully maximizing commercial revenue, securing contracts and implementing propositions which are sustainable and add real value to the business.
  • First class interpersonal and communication skills, able to develop good relationships with senior business executives
  • Excellent negotiator with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong business background with ability to gather market intelligence/research and develop into actionable sales strategy
  • Must be a golfer

Being able to travel nationally and internationally whilst spending time away from home is a must
