The Professional Golfers’ Association is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to develop and deliver its Business & Management modules, which run as part of our collaborative partnerships with the University of Birmingham and the University of Highlands and Islands.

The PGA is one of sports most recognisable and respected global organisations that has over 8,000 members working in over 80 countries around the world. We deliver industry and academic focused programmes for aspiring PGA Professionals and industry professionals and are proud collaborative partners with the University of Birmingham and the University of Highlands and Islands. The PGA’s unique and industry-leading programmes are the only education routes that lead to membership of the world’s oldest PGA.

The Lecturer in Business & Management will be working with a dynamic academic team, delivering a range of modules on higher education programmes at levels five and six.

The successful candidate’s role would include:

  • Leading a range of business and management modules across our academic programmes.
  • Preparing, delivering and evaluating the delivery of taught sessions.
  • Designing, producing and maintaining e-learning materials.
  • Designing, producing, marking and coordinating assessments.
  • Working closely with industry experts and undertaking research to help ensure learning materials remain cutting-edge and that programmes continue to be ground-breaking.

Qualifications and experience that are essential for the role include: being educated to graduate level in a relevant subject area; an understanding of all aspects of business management, and being highly computer literate. Previous experience as a lecturer in further or higher education together with experience of e-learning production as well as experience of using learning management systems would be desirable.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 35 hours per week. The role is based at The PGA National Training Academy, The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield with contracted hours being 9 am until 5 pm Monday to Friday.
