Cheetham leads Cottingham challenge

Jonathan Cheetham produced a flawless opening round of four-under-par 68 to lead the PGA North £20,930 Energy Service Group pro-am at rain-lashed Humberside club Cottingham.
The Manchester-based professional, taking a couple of days off from running his own tour, picked up four birdies, three on the home stretch, to lie a shot ahead of John Wells, of Snainton Golf Centre.
Among three players on 71 was Barry Taylor, from Houghwood, who won the event last year.
