ASQ Level 1 Award in Coaching Golf (Activities Coach)

This qualification (known as the ASQ Award for Golf Coaching Assistants in Scotland (Activities Coach) provides introductory coaching information, which allows those who successfully complete it to work alongside other qualified coaches (for example a Head Professional) and unsupervised providing basic coaching primarily to beginner golfers.

Trainees are encouraged to get involved in coaching, with their Training Professional managing coaching workload and scope of activity, whilst taking into consideration coaching experience, supervision and coach education progress.

The course takes a blended approach to learning, which includes online learning, virtual classrooms, a face-to-face workshop and a live assessment of coaching practice.

Prior to attending the Activities Coach workshop and assessment days candidates will be enrolled and provided with access to an online learning platform that includes a wide range of resources.

Candidates will be expected to review the modules on the learning platform and complete 6 online assessments, a mixture of multiple choice and true/false answer questions, which also count towards the overall grade for the qualification.
