Fleetwood assistant professional David Corsby and Vale Royal Abbey attached Paul Grannell shared the spoils in the PGA North Mansell Finishes Winter Series at Formby on four-under-par 68.

Of the two, the former was the most consistent, producing a bogey-free card highlighting two birdies in each half.

Europro Tour player Grannell was more adventurous as he eagled the eighth and 17th with a brace birdies sandwiched between as well as the same number of bogeys.

Mossock Hall serial winner David Shacklady and Pike Fold's Grant Hamerton, who finished first and second respectively in the PGA North Order of Merit this season, were one shot off the pace alongside Windermere pro Simon Edwards and Vale of Llangollen assistant Matthew Davies.

The third in the six-series events is at West Lancs on November 18.
