Final chance to enter next Ladies Tartan Tour event

28/04/2014

There’s no truth in the rumour that Dutch professional Dewi-Claire Schreefel has filed an entry for the Paul Lawrie Ladies Tartan Tour 36-hole event at Murcar Links on May 8-9.

On Sunday, she holed her tee shot at a short hole in the LPGA Classic tournament at a California venue and won $100,000.

There will be a special prize of £25,000 - to be won by the first amateur or professional to achieve it - for a hole in one at the Murcar Links' short fifth hole on either day of the £6,000 Paul Lawrie tournament which has a first prize of £2,500.

The prize has been put up by the management of the Atholl Hotel, Aberdeen.

If nobody hits the jackpot, there will be a consolation prize of £100 to the player whose tee shot finishes closest to the flagstick at the fifth over the two rounds.

Tuesday, April 29 is the closing date for entries to the Murcar Links' tournament which will be the second of the season.

Nicola Melville, the PGA professional who is Tour Director of the Paul Lawrie Ladies Tartan Tour, has announced a change of dates for the fourth event on the schedule.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances we have been required to change that dates for the forthcoming Ladies Tartan Tour event at Dundonald Links, originally schedule for June 18-19,"she said.

"The new dates are now June 8 and 9. Those players already registered are not required to re-register for the new dates.

We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused."

Entries for Dundonald Links are now being accepted. Non-PGA Professionals have to phone their entries to the PGA in Scotland office on 01764 661840.
